As I predicted the 7 mile run this morning through the snow wasn't to bad and it only adds about three minutes on to my journey to work and for an added bonus I receive an aerial display when I reach half way. Each morning at 7.15am over a thousand birds come flying past travelling from the same direction and keeping to the same flight path, I wonder what time they start work and obviously bird jobs are on the up.
I got a lift home seeing as the bike is definitely a no go and to be honest I could quite easily get used to this form of transport. The gym is improving all the time now it's getting colder with less and less people and now I can just about take my pick which bit of kit I want to use which is a big improvement on taking what is available.
The NYSD cross country race and the Eskdale fell race both of which were this Sunday have been cancelled which I never thought would happen, I wish I had said I was doing them so I could of felt sorry for myself having to miss out on a race. Hopefully they might reschedule the cross country race at Hartlepool which is one of my favourite courses so I can manage to squeeze it into my 2011 battle plan.
My next race is going to be the Jolly Holly Jog 10k at Ripon on the 28th December so plenty of time for training but once again I will be turning up to race a bit race rusty but it will do me a world of good to ensure I'll be ready for any early New Year races.
