BlackSheep Races upto Burn Valley

The more i study and look at the race route for this sundays Rainton 10k , the more it looks easier to me. But in reality i know come race day it's going to seem further than 10k and alot harder to run than the image in my mind. It's definetly one of those races for me where it is going to be a tough old slog. Unless it's because it is usally a hot day and the course has expanded with the heat. Either way i'm sure i'll enjoy it once i've finished. Unlike the Ripon 10 mile race which is hilly and quite tough but i still feel i'm going fast round that course.
Burn Valley , Well ! You know it's going to be hilly , it's going to be hot , it's going to be hard with the added bonus of no chance of a P.B. But, Hey ! what a great race , great views , great course , great food and well organised what more could you ask for. Oh , and plenty of fellow runners hobbling around together afterwards.
I'll just have one more look at that Rainton route , it will be down to 8k by the time i,ve finished looking at it. But what i loose here will be added come race day. So i will look forward to Sundays 12k.
