This cold as managed yet again to ruin my training, i tried my best to train through it but in the end it turned into mission impossible. First of all i could hardly breathe then it felt like i had some sort of lead filled trainers on. Looking on the bright side i seem to be over the worst of it and hopefully should be fit and well by midweek.
At work i managed to loose my training diary so now i have nothing to compare this weeks long run to, "when it goes wrong it all goes wrong" seems like a good quote for 2008.
I going to find a race for next weekend in the hope of getting some direction and enthusiasm back into my running game.
The dog was still on top form and going strong all the way home, i had gone into auto-pilot by the half way mark of a twenty miler. I set off too hard and tried to keep up a good fast tempo for too long and paid the price for it, but you need to know your limits and it's best to find out in training than in a race.
I just can't stop thinking of racing that Hartlepool Marina 5 miler at the moment, so the keen feeling of racing is definitely there. Especially as all my rivals seem to be going really well at the moment, besides Jamil Parapia from Otley who seems to of vanished again. Nothing to serious i hope.
Not long now and it will be races galore again with the Harrogate League Races , Fell Races, Blacksheep Races, and all the other races to boot. (Bring it on)
