Marathon Blues.

After last weeks Marathon, a 12 mile training run in the rain just didn't have quite the same appeal. A couple of miles down the road and i was floating along in the rain thinking my legs certainly feel alot better, but by the half way point my legs where becoming stiffer and stiffer. By the time i got home they felt like they had been well and truly battered with a baseball bat. I should of stuck to an easy 5 miler. But i like to learn the hard way. So i will be on limited training again for the rest of the week in the hope of making it to the Kirkby Malzeard 10k next Saturday. Then following that up with the Otley 10 miler on the Wednesday. Much smaller venues than the Edinburgh Marathon but all the same just as important to me.
I will be marashalling at the Harrogate Evening League event on Thursday so i will be enjoying the pain of others for a change, i will be armed with a stun gun for anyone i consider not to be giving enough effort so you've been warned if your running.
After the thrill of last weeks Edinburgh Marathon i have spent most of the week looking into other Marathons to enter, London, Paris, Amsterdam or even Edinburgh again. I just can't decide which to go for. At least Edinburgh looks after club runners unlike London. Or is there another Marathon i haven't mentioned that is worth doing with some good competition.
