I woke up this morning and my ankle felt like it had never felt so good in years and even my legs felt like they hadn't done a race yesterday. Seeing as it was a recovery day I stuck with the biking and the weight training today as I ponder over next weekends race. Now I have had a small taste of racing again I can't wait for my next fix and even more so now that I have something to prove to myself. Sub 53 minutes for the Thirsk 10 mile (weather permitting) should put any doubts in my mind to rest on how quick I really am.
Everything is still revolving around my plan for next years London Marathon and how I can squeeze every last second out of myself. I still need a GPS watch to assist me on keeping to the correct pace during my training runs and to get used to what the pace feels like, I will also be making adjustments to next years training program to ensure I get some races in before the marathon to ensure I'm fully race fit.
