The gym work is coming along nicely as I have broken into new terrority on the stepping machine and also with weight lifting. The gym work is good and it's quite relaxing not doing any running but I do miss not running and even more so running without any pain. It's coming upto 10 weeks since I sprained my ankle and even with the ankle stretching and exercises it doesn't seem any better than what it did last week. Tomorrow morning will have to be another trip to the gym and I will try and do a hour on the stepping machine which should be one hell of a struggle mentally as well as physically.
I should of been competing in the Great North West Half Marathon next weekend which I was really looking forward to and it was also an important part of my battle plan for the London Marathon. Instead I will look forward to seeing the results as well as the results from the Snake Lane 10 mile race which is also next weekend. I might as well keep a close eye on my old rivals to see how they are doing.
With the extra time I have gained through not running I will try and come up with some new ideas for the extra pages on my blog, Stu Stod a fellow blogger comments about his mate blogging about the contents of his sock draw whilst being out of running action, sounds boring but funny.
