I missed a few days running whilst I tackled some of the jobs that needed doing on the exterior of the house but I was back at it today with a good hour of uphill training on the treadmill seeing as it was chucking it down. Tomorrow I have mapped out a new route which is a mixture of some old training routes and some walking routes with both of them being off road so at least the run shall have a sense and feeling of a new adventure which makes the run all that more enjoyable. I won't be achieving my weekly mileage target this week but I should be back at it and gunning for 75 miles next week with the 100 miler still on the cards after that.
The treadmill session went quite well with a slight improvement in performance but looking back over my past training information I just can't believe how far I am away from what I would call average so I still have plenty of work to do whilst I still wait for my ankle to get a grip of it self. The Diamond League athletic meeting at Crystal Palace has kept me entertained and I can see myself buying some tickets in the near future to get a piece of live action, the Edinburgh International Cross Country in January also could be worth a trip.
