First Week Back

I was keen to get started on my latest come back trail but was dreading the first few training session as you just know that they are going to hurt. Hurt I did, the running for some reason seemed easy than the bike training for some strange reason but by God they both hurt. I felt my ankle was not 100% right but as the week went by it appeared that I wasn't aggravating the problem and I could run the full distance in my normal running style, if it wasn't for the severe lack of fitness I could of been flying along. Today I managed one hour of uphill training and
thankfully their was no problem once again with the ankle so tomorrow I will opt for a two hour steady training run. I was tempted to try a twenty miler but I don't want to push my luck too far just yet.
It's now only a week to the Wetherby 10k  and by my training data I should be looking at trying to break the 35 minute barrier which is a bit disappointing seeing as I have managed  32 minutes 6 seconds in the past but the feeling of being on the right track again certainly makes up for the disappointed feeling.
