It was a case of back to training for me. I felt like doing the Guisborough Moors fell race but thought i had better stick to my marathon training. With a long hilly 22 miler run on Sunday i managed to beat my record from last year around this route only by a few seconds but i now feel i'm fast improving ready for the Marathon in 6 weeks time.
I have a bike race this coming Tuesday night which should be fun, seeing as i haven't been on my race bike for 2 years. I won't be returning to cycling as this running game is far more intresting overall. I will be reporting on how i get on by Wednesday Hopefully. With nothing to loose and with the excuse i'm a runner not a cyclist it should be a good cross training session.
The dog now has a different training program than me, it has decided if it is a training session around the streets of Thirsk in the rain it will not bother and have a snooze instead. The way the dog is going at the moment i'm starting to think it might not be as daft as it looks.
Now that Ian Fisher of Otley is doing the Edinburgh Marathon i have found a new lease of determination in my training, another chance at beating the mighty Fisher. What more could anyone ask for, i have phoned round all the people i know who are doing the Windermere Marathon and have offered large sums of cash to make sure The Fisher has a tough race before he turns up for the Edinburgh Marathon. Every little bit helps.
