Ready to GO.

That's it ! There's nowt i can do now. The last few months of training didn't actually go to plan but everything seemed to slot into place just at the right time. I maybe lacking on the long distance stuff but the distance upto 10 mile i feel as good if not better than ever before. A step into the unknown and the feeling is good. The weather forecast is 12 degrees but a 20 mph wind. So it looks like i'll be racing for position rather than a really fast time. But i'll be hoping to get round in 2 hours 27 minutes or less. I was aiming for sub 2.30 but they're offering £100 bonus to get under 2.27. Sub 2.10 for £5,000 was a bit out of my reach.
I return from Edinburgh on Monday and will report back with good or bad news, or should i say excuses. Either way i'm off to enjoy the 26.2 miles even if i have to crawl the last 6 miles.
Young Sam Bye that comes along training with me at the Harriers did well i see at the Harrogate League race Thursday night. He finished 33rd but i have no doubt he'll jump up a lot of places in the next race around at Thirsk, he takes some beating in a sprint finish when he's up for it. I will be Marshaling the Thirsk event but hopefully i'll be going to the Swaledale round of the Harrogate League.
