I was pleased to win the Rainton 10k race today in 32 minutes 36 seconds or there abouts, twenty seconds slower than the year before but all things considered i couldn't of expected to run much faster. I was more shocked with Tony Lambert from Swaledale being so close to me at the finish, alot more to do with his performance than me loosing time. I'll have to put him on my hit list now he has got to close for comfort. Richard Hall and Cameron Choules having there own Harriers battle where well up at the front end of the race with Richard taking revenge this time, but between us we took the Team prize.
This week i have been busy, starting with watching the Otley Town centre bike race last Thursday evening, there was plenty of good racing but it never stopped raining alnight which ruined the atmosphere overall. Then Friday Night it was the Harriers social run and pub meal. 5k run taking on Swinsty Reservoir and 10k if you went round Fewston Reservoir as well. Really nice location for running as was the proof with many other runners and clubs running around. Then the meal and drinks at the Stone Cross Inn finshed the evening off perfectly. I'll be revisting the reservoirs before the end of summer that's for sure.
With Burn Valley coming up next Saturday at least i'll have something to look forward to. Especially as the Tour de France starts on Saturday as well.

Put a team in for the Otley Washburn Valley Relay if you enjoyed the reservoirs. The route goes around there.
