Ready for twenty.

The speed session today on the treadmill went well. My eternal go faster for longer method is still rolling along nicely, going back to the start of October 2009 I just about managed to complete running at 20km/h for 2 minutes 30 seconds with 2 mins 30 secs recovery for 50 minutes and now I'm upto 3 minutes 50 seconds with 2 mins 10 secs recovery. My next plan for the next four weeks will be reducing the interval time along with recovery time but adding more intervals.
I had in my running diary to run 19 miles tomorrow which was to run 6 miles to the Kilburn 7 race route, run round the race route and then run the 6 miles back home. Having used this route many times in my pre marathon training I have managed to imprint in my brain that this route is no longer enjoyable, so I have planned another complete new route, this new route is very flat and 20 miles so very different from the very hilly Kilburn route. I'm trying hard at the moment to try and keep the long runs steady and enjoyable as there is still plenty of time yet before the Edinburgh Marathon.
