Getting Faster.

I'm slowly but surely making my way back to the speed I am capable of running, I reckon I'm now around 50 seconds off my usual 10k pace so I'm really looking forward to this Sunday's race which is the Burn Valley Half Marathon at Masham. Some more blistering heat would be nice, the harder the race the more satisfying it becomes, that is when you have managed to finish.
The way things are moving along at the moment I might just be in tip top shape in time for the James Herriot Trail Race at the end of July, I need to be in peak condition as I want the course record back which I lost last year. Last year I lost my shoe in a bog but I'm sure I still wouldn't of won as I was 1 minute 31 seconds behind but I will be trying my damn hardest to get that record back even if I have to super glue them shoes to my feet. I wouldn't want to start taking detours around bogs and muddy sections when my theory is to attack and go for the shortest most direct route.
