I knew today's speed training session would be hard and it was a case of how hard could I really push myself. Sometimes the will power to push yourself to your absolute limits is missing but luckily today the engine room managers gave me their all. I selected my speed on the treadmill and then ran for as long as I could just about manage which turned out to be 1 minute 50 seconds. With a 3 minute fast jog afterwards I then aimed to try and complete this 10 times. I don't know how I made it to half way never mind the full 10 and number 11 was a definitely no chance. It was a great feeling to complete the session and even more so with the amount of effort I managed to put in, the only problem is that I managed to do this session in February and last 2 minutes 20 seconds each repetition so I have a long way to go yet.
The final round of the Blacksheep Championship is this Sunday with the race being the Wetherby 10k. If only I had a few more weeks of training but it's too late to worry about that now. I have checked the entries list and it seems most of my main rivals aren't actually firing on all cylinders so things aren't looking too bad after all, just give me an inch and the will to win comes flooding back.
