The training this week has been really enjoyable with cycling, running and the weight training, Oh ! and not forgetting a good three hour hilly trek this morning. Running wise I have managed to notch up three training sessions this week one was a good old seven mile steady run and the other two being speed work, probably more like hard work than speed work but I was pleased to see an increase in improvement from Wednesday's session compared to Saturday's. The cycling is more of a means of transport to get myself to and from work so it's just a case of cycling half hour each way unless it's raining then I now have the common sense to opt for a lift. Hopefully I have put a stop to putting on any more weight and all I need to do now is loose a stone or so ready for the 10k I have planned to do at the end of June.
I might have to invest in some new race trainers and some new running kit otherwise I will be looking like some sort of retro runner when I turn up for the 10k race, I just hope I don't get number 118 or I will definetly have to get myself some new stuff.
