Winter Training camp booked.

I have been trying to book a holiday for the last four weeks but couldn't find anywhere for the October half term week. Then my wife found us a holiday to Lanzarote in the first week of December. Excellent ! I've never been on a winter training camp before , the wife is not to keen on telling her friends were going on a winter training camp. " A relaxing holiday " she calls it. It still seems a strange name for a winter training camp to me.

Another week almost completed of easy running and now i'm ready to train with vengeance.

All ideas new and old ready to be implemented.

I visited Mallam Cove this week near Skipton and was watching everybody else taking in the breath taking scenary , myself i was looking around thinking what great training ground this is and which routes i could take. It's a pitty it is to far away to go training there for me. After a couple of hours i soon blended into the background with my feet up and a picnic. The wife asked if there was anything i needed for the winter Holiday. "Oh yes , new race shoes , some new running shorts a couple of vests should do. " i replied. i won't print her reply.

The dog is looking very tired this week , she must be used to sleeping until lunch time and now i'm on holiday this week she's not getting much sleep. The flying Scotsman cycling film is on at the cinema at Thirsk this week so i'm off to watch that to get topped up on some inspiration. If an unknown Scotsman can smash the world hour record that was held by one of the worlds best cyclists then there is hope for us all.
