Back to Training.

Back to training this week, with longish runs on Saturday and Sunday ready for some interval training on Monday. Saturday's run was around Sutton bank and Sunday i ventured out around Ripon and Studley Roger Park. The dog certainly enjoyed the run around Ripon, especially the deer park.
I'm definetly going to get some new training shoes. Those Nike Vomero's have just about made me sick of going out running. These shoes are the most useless expensive lumps of material i have ever come across. You would of thought they would be run in after 400 miles but NO. They even make my feet ache walking up the drive , never mind running. So i've found some Saucony Grid Triumph 4's for £49 because they are a strange colour, £85 for silver ones. I'm not to bothered what they look like as long as they work. The dog has the best idea some good old regenerating pads on the bottom of its feet, a far superior invention compared to those Nike things.
The NYSD cross country is on the menu for next Sunday and 2 weeks after that the Thirsk 10. Darran Bilton of Leeds City has entered , he must be after revenge after this years Brass Monkey. So i'm looking forward to a good old 10 miles of sheer pain. Even if i don't win hopefully i'll get a good time. Ian Fisher of Otley hasn't entered yet, but there's time yet.
