Harrogate League - Race Report

This marshaling game is alot harder than i thought, i was that busy enjoying watching the race that i felt i was missing out on all the fun or should i say torture. Darran Bilton running second claim for Swaledale won the race by some margin from Jon Orange of Richmond who was in a two way battle for the lead and also from behind keeping his young club mate Douglas Roberts from catching him. Mathew Cox from Otley looked like he was on a easy training run and was not that far behind. Tony Lambert, Zack Whitehead ,Richard Watson, Julian Mawson and Chris Miller where all well up at the head of the field battling for position and making a good race for the spectators. Not far behind them where the Thirsk Harriers in their own battle, Richard Hall leading the Harriers home followed by Phil Utley hot on his heels, Cameron Choules after being up with them on the first lap had slipped back a bit, but Young Sam Bye improved again and should of made the top 30 with his fast sprint finish we have been working on in training, excellent result from his weekly mileage of 2 miles, God knows how good he would be doing 50+ miles a week training like some of the leading runners: RESULTS and PHOTOS
I was keen to get back racing before the race but i can't wait for Saturday's race now.
