Weighting for summer.

At the moment I'm plodding along with some steady training running wise but the weekly gym session is still going from strength to strength excuse the pun. The only problem I have with the gym at the moment is the new ability to lift two to three times more than I did last year before the Gladiators audition so now it takes a lot longer than before. The 50 minutes has now become 1 hour and 10 minutes and that's with missing one of the machines out each week.
On the diet side I have enjoyed eating quite a lot of rubbish and downing a few beers over the last few weeks and so far I have only put on a pound in weight. Now is a good time to get back to eating a bit more sensibly I think before I end up with the same problem as last year with having too much weight to loose, trying to loose weight and training hard don't really mix as I become very weak and tired on reduced rations.
Now the sun has come back out I might just be able to squeeze my yearly bike ride in with the bike club before my summer holiday, I don't want to sound greedy but two days without rain would be a nice change.
After reading about global warming I am now doing my best to get the planet warmed up. I'm spraying as many aerosols as I can get my hands on and have installed 500 watt lamps through out the house to try and get my carbon foot print to the max. I have wondered if there was global cooling would they advise everybody to do the same as me and try and warm the planet up a bit.
I'm going to take a day off in September to watch a stage of the Tour of Britain cycle race. It would be good to see a running equivalent on a big scale, five days of racing should do it. Day 1 - 5km time trial. Day 2 - 1/2 Marathon. Day 3 - 3km race. Day 4 - 10 mile race . Day 5 - 10k race.
With people going for daily victories and other top runners trying to save themselves for the overall classification. That's the problem with not training enough I start to think too much.
