I have made my last amendment to my winter training plan yet again, surely there can't be anymore final tweaks to be found or at least I hope not. My new plan takes me to running 95 miles a week which is right on the edge of taking it too far. It's like playing pontoon and you have 19 in your hand, should you stick seeing as it looks quite good or should you twist and go for 21 ? Going bust in running terms means months of recovery so I think I will stick.
I also planned to get plenty of training done before my next race but the first race of the NYSD cross country league is in three weeks time which I am very keen to do. I should of made some slight improvement by then compared to last weekends race as my training plan is more focused on picking things up by mid November where I have some races that I really want to do well in.
