Lone ranger.

I almost made it for a run outside today but the -5 degrees this morning didn't seem worth all the hassle of sliding about and suffering in the freezing cold. After the under performance race at Leeds and with last weekends race at Thirsk cancelled it was really pleasing this weekend to complete a training session which I found impossible only 4 weeks ago just a shame all this work is on the treadmill, at this rate I will have to set up a treadmill at the start of the London Marathon and do my race on that.
Next Sunday's training session will also not be a good quality long run outside as I'm off to the works Christmas do on the Saturday night and I'm pretty sure I won't be in any fit state the morning after, but I will try and put some extra effort in on the Saturday morning's training just so I don't feel guilty. After months of training by myself I'm really looking forward to my annual Christmas run with team mate Phil Utley, the only problem I have with the run is that it feels like we've only been out 10 minutes even though a couple of hours have passed. A lot of the lone training is not by choice but result of trying to squeeze in a lot of training between family life and work.
I will talk myself into running to work tomorrow morning no matter what the weather is like with the incentive of visiting the gym in the evening instead of running back home.
