The impossible was Impossible.

Steady on there ! The training last weekend might of gone well but after that I have been forced into doing absolutely nothing as I have picked up a bad cold, normally I would  battle on  but with the way things were I didn't have much option but to rest. I'm now feeling better than I have done all week so I might try a nice and easy session tomorrow on the treadmill with a bail out option if all is not well to do some weight training. It's typical in the running world if it's not one thing then it's another.
My original 12 week training plan to full fitness now appears to of been impossible and having given it plenty of thought I have now come to the conclusion that to get back up to full speed it is going to take not one but a two stage plan or  possibly even a three stage plan. My first stage plan is to achieve a very low 34 minute 10k time or some other equivalent time and then in the second 12 week stage aim for a low 32 minute 10k and finally finish with a further 8 week stage to hit P.B. smashing form, much easier to write than do but that's my plan.
I shall be using the Dewsbury 10k in early February to test myself with the aim of running  33 minutes 30 seconds.
