Two more days of not running and I'm on the verge of getting runners doom. The feeling of will I ever get back running, especially before the next race which is in five days time. I probably could of fitted a five miler in today with some suffering, the suffering caused by the wounds the blisters have left on my feet. Luckily I had the common sense for once to rest so as not to cause any more damage. Tomorrow maybe the day I can run with only slight discomfort, then I can get back to training, before any serious fitness is lost. One thing is for sure and that is I will be on the start line come Sunday for the Rainton 10k which is the next race in my quest to win the Blacksheep Race Series.
I can't make my mind up what to do tomorrow evening the clubs Time Trial at the top of Sutton Bank or go and watch the bike racing around Otley town centre. At the moment the time trial is just ahead as I can test the old feet plus Sutton Bank has great healing powers for the mind.
The gym session once again will come to my rescue, the continued gym work through this season has definitely been well worth while and will be definitely included in all future seasons.

Don't be too doomy, there's always something you can do to keep fit even without your feet. I don't think your unique in getting the 'dooms' it's common among runners who take their training and racing seriously. My thoughts are it's more in the mind than physical and not much fitness will be lost with just a few days off. There's nothing like a race to cure these 'dooms', so have a good race on Sunday.
