The weight training session went well tonight with the main aim being on technique rather than sheer brute force, not only is it better all round in health and gains using the correct technique it also makes it more enjoyable. Now ! My purpose for mentioning this was that I'm wondering if it would be possible to work on the same logic with running by improving my running technique but use less effort to gain the same results. Could an extremely bouncy/springy stride be the answer, I might just give it a go one month to see what happens.
Time for another freezing cold run to work tomorrow morning but then come Saturday it will be time for the treadmill, Sauna and the works Christmas Do. So Sunday is looking good for a day of rest or a hour in the gym taking it easy if I manage to get over any hangovers (that I'm expecting) by lunch time.
I was looking at the new Saucony race shoes as well as many other race shoes for next years marathon but I have decided to stick with the Adidas Adios seeing as they were totally perfect at this years marathon, seems pointless to risk trying anything else when I have found a shoe that suits me perfectly. Besides I have already got my Christmas present in the form of another tattoo. Forza E Onore . In other words as General Maximus says in his motivational speech just before battle in Gladiators "Strength and Honour".
