I'm not too sure what's happened with my ankle this time but it's nowhere near as bad as before. Really I should contact Ed Pratt the Sports Therapist I was seeing to see if he can do anything for me as I'm not sure if it's a muscle injury or a ligament injury. Seeing as the pain is getting better quite quickly I will take it easy for a few days before running again. I am giving up with any plans of using the London Marathon as a training run as the mileage is obviously too much for me at this present time, I have ditched all plans of racing a marathon this year and will concentrate my efforts training for races from 5k to 10k with the odd 10 miler if that's possible.
I will book some London eye tickets for race day and see how much of the race I can see from up there before making my way to the finishing area to watch the first few hundred runners to finish. I suppose I had better try and defer my entry until next year before I forget.

Dont bother to defer. You will get in in 2012 anyway due to your 2010 results.
It's a shame that you've had to pull out of the London Marathon but on the upside, if you get your place deferred till next year, who wouldn't want to run the London in the year of the Olympics :) I'm certainly putting my name in the ballot. I'm pleased that you seem to be on the mend anyway. Regards John
