Defence System.

I enjoyed my hard training session last Saturday and even more so with managing to achieve my set target, I tried my hardest to do better than the target I had set myself  but due to lack of oxygen and power I was unable. After resting Sunday and Monday and just some light training Tuesday I was looking forward to today's hard speed training session. The plan was 1 mile fast by 1 mile easy with 5 to do, I jogged down to the start line and then sprang into action whilst hitting the start button on my GPS watch the first minute felt fast and ok but by 3 minutes I was starting to feel the pain, a quick check of my watch to see how far I had covered and Bloody Hell ! (the battery had gone flat) onward it was guesstimating a mile and by the time I hit the first checkpoint I had developed a stitch. Looking down I also noticed I had odd gloves on and from there I knew the session was doomed. Each mile interval was harder and more difficult than the last and by the time I finished it looked like I had only minutes left to live. On a positive note at least I should be able to improve on that performance with my next speed training session.
After getting over my ankle injury it now appears  I am developing another injury in the form of  plantar fasciitis. The heal pain hasn't really interfered with my training but I'm already on it's case trying to rectify the problem before it gets any worse, rest at this moment in time is not an option. Vitimin I  aka Ibuprofen, stretching, new cushioned training shoes and a bit of self foot massage are my first lines of defence.
