Twisted Power.

After doing interval training year after year you could say that they become a bit tedious to say the least but recently I have taken up inventing new interval training sessions and it now makes those hellish training sessions something to look forward to once again. It's just a simple case of taking a straight forward interval training plan and adding a bit of a twist to it.
Example - 1 minute all out attack up to the top of an hill , jog back down 1/3 , then 40 seconds flat out back up to the top of the hill and beyond. Finish with a jog back to the start point. 5 to 6 sets of these should see you on the verge of collapse and feeling sick. FANTASTIC.
I will miss my long run this Sunday as I will be visiting my dad in Leyland so instead I will just have to give it absolute everything and more with my treadmill training session on Saturday morning, the aim will be to edge that little bit closer to full fitness and with what I have got planned for myself I won't be far off a level I would be happy to at least make a return to racing.
  Summary
My come back trail now stands at 7 weeks out of the 12 weeks I had originally planned.
I have only 3 weeks to go before my first race back which will be the NYSD Cross Country at Hartlepool.
I have entered the Thirsk 10 mile race on 20th Nov 2011.
Weight loss plan has crashed yet again thanks to beer and pies.
The weight training seems to be even harder now I'm using lighter weights with more reps.
42 mile Lyke Wake Walk winter crossing planned for 02nd Dec 2011.
