After a few blips in my training I was more than pleased with how well today's training went, I completed the session I failed to do a few weeks ago and even managed to notch up an extra level in the last five minutes. So I can treat myself to a nice and steady forty minute run tomorrow with the odd blast here and there to blow out any cobwebs that still might be hanging around in my lungs.
My next 5km time trial test is on Wednesday which I'm now looking forward to and even more so now I have a more positive feeling of being able to get as close to as my target of 17 minutes 15 seconds, plus it will be a good time to try out my new race kit as I don't want any excuses come race day.
After reading a few articles on the uselessness of treadmill training and that it is waste of time as it is totally different to running outside I will be very interested to see what time I can achieve at a park run 5k with no training what so ever.
