Coming ready or Not.

    I have still not managed to get my twice weekly runs completed by running to work or back home again, the weather was good this week but other more important commitments took priority. On a positive note, the bit of training I do each week running wise must be paying off as I am now approaching the fitness level that I had back in November so when I do get them extra runs it can only get better.
    Mid week I did another 5km time trial on the treadmill in 17 minutes 36 seconds which was better than last time but I did feel that I was capable of going sub 17 minutes 30 seconds so it did leave me feeling a bit disappointed with myself. Anyway I'm off to do a 5k Park Run next week so that I can set myself a good bench mark to improve upon and to see the difference between my treadmill 5k and an actual 5k. I'm guessing I will be thirty seconds slower outside.
   The weight loss program is in tatters yet again and time is running out before my first race of the season so I am definitely going to knuckle down from Monday, I say Monday as I have a load of party food and drink that requires my attention this weekend but come Monday I will make my start on trying to shed a stone before the end of April. Easier said than done these days.
