I'm not one for excuses but seeing as the running is not going too well I thought I had better mention a few. The other week I had chronic tooth ache which took some resolving and in all resulted me loosing ten days of good training and then at the start of this week I came off my bike and bounced down the road. Nothing too serious but plenty of niggling joint and muscle pain to last me through the week. Luckily all was well by yesterday and I managed a good hard forty minutes of running some what off the pace I had been doing but it's a start. And then today I managed a good training run followed with a good sharp hard short cycling session followed by thirty lengths of swimming oh! and not forgetting the few weight lifting exercises chucked in for good measures.
Another slight set back was the Gerbil died, I mention this as I bought the little fellow with the money I won at the Hartlepool Marina 5 mile race in 2009 so if the wife wants a new Gerbil I had better get some serious training done. ( 25 minutes 05 seconds, they were the days).
Next week starts with a seven mile run home from work that is if the snow clears up by tomorrow evening or I will making some more of them excuses up.
