After six weeks since I first injured my ankle and doing no running for the last nine days to try and get this injured ankle back to full health I thought it was time for a test run. I opted for the treadmill so if the pain started I could stop instantly. I managed forty minutes at a good brisk pace and the ankle pain was more of a nuisance rather than any sort of hurting pain, if there was no pain at all I would of jumped straight back into the deep end with my training but with the way the ankle is I think another hour of running should be enough for the time being.
It's a good job I never managed to enter the Brass Monkey Half Marathon at York in time as it would of been another race on my D.N.S (did not start) list for 2011. The weather is looking like it should be perfect for the race tomorrow and it will be good to see how some of my fellow runners get on after such a tough winter of training.
